Just Keep It Black & White

Black and white is one of my favorite color combinations to wear, it's simple, classic and always in style. Sometimes the most simple things make the biggest impression. You're never over or underdressed in black and white. One of my mottos is: "When in doubt ... wear black and white". I actually also like to add a pop of color like red to my outfit when I wear black and white but this time I decided that black and white was just enough. As you can see I had an absolute blast taking these pictures and posing by the graffiti wall (I have this thing for graffiti haha). Did I mention that these are the most comfortable/softest pants that I think I've ever worn? The tribal design on them makes them a dressy fun look for a lunch date or day out on the town. What's your favorite color combo?

Hello Yellow

Well hello yellow! Color is a very important aspect of any successful wardrobe. Whether it's a colorful necklace, shoe, or pair of pants the right pop of color can bring any outfit to life! A few years back colored jeans were super popular and I just had to get a pair so I bought a green and pink pair. Unfortunately pink and green pants weren't the easiest colors to wear with everything and I found myself looking either really tacky or too "matchy-matchy"every time I wore them. Since my style has improved a great deal I tried colored jeans out again and I picked out these golden yellow mustard colored pants from Macy's and I love them (they never fade!). I usually pair them with basics but this time I decided to try a multi-colored blouse that I thrifted and I loved the look. After putting on my favorite gold Michael Kors watch, multi-colored silver, gold and bronze clutch (courtesy of my mom's closet), vintage ring, and brown sandals (with a golden heel), I really liked how the color of my pants were able to stand out but not overshadow the other elements of my outfit. Color can sometimes be a bit tricky to style and wear, but I think I pulled this look off pretty well. Small statement pieces are always a good way to spice up a look as well. Try throwing on your favorite watch, purse and statement necklace with a basic top and colored jeans and see what color can do for you! Fashion is sometimes a matter of trial and error but sometimes that is all the fun of it!  P.S. My hair was awesome!

Something Black Something Blue

Don't you just love summer?! I'm a winter baby but I love the summer! It's something about the pops of color, the easy breezy styles and the relaxed feelings that come along with it that make me love it even more. While taking a browse through Ross one day, these little blue tribal print shorts caught my eye and I had to try them on! I fell in love with the ease of the fit (they have no zipper and no buttons, they simply just slide on) and I knew that they would be perfect for flowy summer tops. I found this cute black high-low Cotton-On tank at a thrift store that I thought was so cool because it's cotton on the front and silk on the back! My shoes were a random gift my boyfriend got for me from a store called Shi and I love how chic and expensive they look even though they're not haha! The best thing about this whole outfit is that altogether (shoes included) it was only around $40! #FrugalandFabulous
